   Robert comes to The Growing Place following 13 ½ years of ministry in the local church, serving as Youth Pastor, Worship Pastor, Interim Pastor and, most recently, Senior Associate Pastor and Elder.  As a layman, he participated in and led Celebrate Recovery for 7 years.  He is a 1980 graduate of Lincoln Christian College with a B.A. in Church and Family Life Education.  He and his family moved to Chico from Illinois in 1984.

Robert’s passion is to see people fulfill their God-given purpose and thereby experience abundant life.   He believes that Life Coaching and Biblical Lay Counseling are powerful tools to free people to pursue that purpose.  His background in biblical studies and recovery brings a solid biblical foundation to his Life Coaching and Biblical Lay Counseling.

When away from The Growing Place, Robert can be found enjoying his motorcycles, camping, making music, or puttering in his Man Cave (garage for the uninitiated).
