Steve is the Director of Operations at The Growing Place. He began as a Biblical Counselor in 2007, and then returned to school to obtain a degree in Human Services Management. Steve graduated with his degree in Human Service Management in November of 2010 and is using his talents to help The Growing Place expand the services it has to offer to reach a great number of people in the local community and around the world.
Steve has received training from the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) in the Caring for People Gods Way program. He has completed training in the process of Theophostic Prayer and specializes in working with clients using the Theophostic process. Through the use of Theophostic Prayer he works with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, and trauma, helping them hear truth from the Lord and receive His healing. In addition to the training Steve has received, he is working on obtaining certification as a Life Coach and looks forward to obtaining a depth of knowledge about helping people.
In addition to providing Biblical Counseling Services, Steve fulfills duties as the Director of Operations, a technical specialist, and as the web site administrator for The Growing Place. When he is not working at The Growing Place, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, mountain biking, photography, graphic design work, reading, and learning more about our amazing Creator.
