Tamsen is a Marriage Family Therapist Intern at The Growing Place. She began as a lay counselor in 2004, then returned to school to complete a master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling. She graduated in 2008 and has since been working part-time as an intern. She works with a variety of age groups and specializes in helping people who struggle with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Tamsen is also trained in Theophostic Prayer Ministry and enjoys helping others hear from the Lord and receive healing.
In addition to her education in the area of counseling, Tamsen also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics as well as a Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education. Teaching mathematics for Butte College, counseling, and spending time with her husband and three boys keeps her very busy. In her occasional spare time, Tamsen enjoys reading, crocheting, knitting, swimming, traveling, writing, and origami.
